Project Description

The Stitchalot sewing retreats were an extremely popular event that we ran at Pink Castle Fabrics. We’d gather 4-6 teachers from around the globe, fly them out to Ann Arbor, MI, and they’d teach for roughly 200 students over the course of a weekend. “Glampers” got to stay at the hotel, learn sewing tricks, and rub elbows with their favorite designers.

We ran the event twice a year for several years. Not only did the events include your teaching fees and all meals, students received swag bags, promo gear, we offered sewing machine rentals and repair services, a pop-up shop, and even shipped customer purchases home to them at the end of the weekend!

It was a lot of work coordinating the event between multiple teams at multiple locations, and with as many people (and machines!) all under one roof! But, for many of our customers it was the highlight of their year, and so it was great to be able to help create that for everyone.
